The Nutcracker: American Youth Ballet

It’s timeless.  It’s classic.  It’s fabulous.  It’s…. THE NUTCRACKER!!!!!!!!  Performed by the most talented youth ballet, American Dance Center.  Directed by excellent Kristopher Estes-Brown and Jennifer Tierney.  This was definitely a performance to remember.  Here are some fantastic images caught during the dress rehearsal.

Seats were filled….eyes were entertained.  Again…it was a performance to remember.  I highly recommend picking up some tickets for next season’s Nutcracker.

Kansas City Family: The Douglas Family

Oh where to begin….I’m the biggest Douglas family fan!!!!!  Jimmy is a fellow photog ( www.jimmydouglas.com ) who I have come to know and love over the past couple years and I was sooooo honored to be able to photograph his family.  Actually, this is their very first family session photographed by another photographer.  …so yeah…the pressure was on.  🙂  But it quickly passed because we all had such a great time.

Can I just say…Jimmy and Nancy are who Matt and I aspire to be….a rock solid marriage that withstands the end of time.  It is so inspiring to know them in so many ways.Danny was an absolute DIVA this day.  Total ham for the camera.  I think it was because I brought along my lucky charm…Matt. 🙂  He kept her entertained.

Have you ever seen the group of the most talented young ballerinas in the Kansas City area (and probably the country)? I HAVE!!!!  You have to see it to believe it.  These girls, at the American Dance Center, are beyond skilled.  What’s more, they are ALL (every single one of them) total sweethearts.  Check out these elite athletes in action…

Thought this was a fantastic series of the stages of their ballerinas.Can’t leave out the cutest part…the baby ballerinas!  SOOO CUTE!!!!
