Part 3: Wedding Day
I apologize ahead of time…IMAGE OVERLOAD. Soooo much photoawesomeness packed into one day. Lets start at the beginning…
I love these two shots. All generations involved in this day.
I could be wrong, but I swear right before this shot, Tina said “not the face”. HAHAHA
Kuddos to all Tina and Sol’s talented friends for whipping up some beautiful floral arrangements on the fly. They turned out fantastic!
Stunning! Simply Stunning!
Hello Lovely Lady.
BAHAHAHA!!!! Just to clarify…Sol had an inner pocket in his pants he kept his phone. It was just hilarious though to watch him constantly digging in there every few minutes. 🙂
BTW, we visited Jefferson Memorial…which is where Sol proposed to Tina. It was a great location.
And wow…these people. Unbelievable. I’ve been shooting weddings for over a decade and I’ve never experienced the extreme public stalking that this wedding party and I endured while at the Memorial. These people actually followed us around for quite a while and I’d be willing to bet took more images that I did. Why? I don’t know. It was insane. Even after repeatedly asking them to stop, they just kept on…so in one last attempt, I followed them around for half a minute and photographed them continuously…giving them a taste of their own medicine. ….and no…it didn’t stop them. Oh well, I tried.
Chinese Lion Dance!!!!!! YES PLEASE!
Part 2: The SANGEET, Garba, Raas
Hahaha….sneaky boy…I caught you!
I love how all the ladies were so coordinated in all their dances.
Tina is an amazing dancer! It was so much fun to photographer her.
And then began the Raas…dancing with the sticks.
Playing with sticks is like every kid’s dreams….including big kids like Sol. 🙂
My favorite part of this event…the spinning. Oh MAN! It was INTENSE! They go so soo fast…at on point, I changed the setting on my camera to rapid fire just in case I’d catch someone spin out of control…but apparently these are professional spinners.
This picture perfectly captures the moment…you can tell they are spinning CRAZY fast, and if you can’t tell…just look at all the on-lookers facial expressions. The guys on the sides look ready to catch the girls, and Sol and others look terrified. Hahahaha!
Ok…so I recently just started watching the popular TV show, New Girl…which is a HILARIOUS show in case you were wondering. …and when I came across this image, it reminded me of Season 2, Episode 8…the look on this guy’s face, like it’s so easy, makes me think he’s about to say “I can spin this girl all day! I can DO THIS ALL DAY, SON!!!” Oh my gosh…I crack myself up.
Indian weddings are known to be some of the most detail packed, colorful, and beautiful weddings of them all. And I would have to agree. Especially after Tina & Sol’s wedding adventure. Plus, Tina’s smile is like sunshine and Sol looks like a young, hot Keanu Reeves! GORGEOUS couple, the most delightful and friendly family and friends…camera heaven. Which is why it has been impossible to pick the best of the best to share on the blog. Seriously…every image has some amazing detail or sentimental moment or rockstar composure…it’s soooooo hard to pick. So…the best I can do is make a blog-series post.
Here’s Part 1: Mehndi
This was my first time to watch the Henna process. It is such a skillful art. The amazing Ambika Ramsundar is soooo good and so quick. I was mesmorized by the technique. And it turned out sooo soooo goooooood!
And then there was this little ham! Remember Pooja & Brandon’s wedding from 2010? Well…they made this little cutie {aka: Gavin} last year….being held by the other cutie {aka: Nikki}. So, going through these three images, I could’t resist. So sweet how he attacked her cheek!
