ROAD TRIP!!!! OKOBOJI, IOWA!!!

I had never heard of Okoboji before Stephanie & Dillon, but apparently it’s pretty well known. When it would come up in random conversations, sometimes with strangers, I was surprised how many people knew exactly where Okoboji was and had even been there before. When we rolled into town early morning on Stephanie & Dillon’s wedding day, I could see why it is such a popular place. It reminded me of The Ozarks. Such a charming town, busy with lots of fun things to do.

Ok…this is one of the best groomsmen gifts I’ve ever seen! How creative is the wrapping?!?!!!! Polished with cufflinks of their colleges.

If only I had an extra hour and $10 on me….I could have done a whole mini shoot with Stephanie, Dillon, and this delightful looking ice-cream truck. I had this overwhelming urge to chase this down the street….but I resisted.

Stephanie has fantastic ladies in her life! These chicas were all wonderful to photograph and spend the day with.

Meet Carter. My little cousin. Seems like only yesterday that he was running around kicking people in the shins and running off during family gatherings. Now he’s grown and still runs around kicking people in the shins. HAHAHAHA just kidding. But I’m sure he thinks about it. 😉

He is the spitting image of my Uncle Chris. I never realized how much he looked like Chris until photographing him. Makes me miss Uncle Chris….haven’t seen him in over a decade and he lives in Pennsylvania. Need to take a road trip that way someday soon.

Meet Aunt Claire. Best Aunt of all time!!! She’s smart, funny, and super sassy. She made Carter’s senior portrait session one of the funnest memories of her.

Oh lovely Tianna! How much I love her, her family, her furry friends…such a great Senior Portrait session! We shot the session at one of the best places ever…their home. It was a trip down memory lane as that’s where I photographed her Dad, Cecil, and Jayne’s post-wedding session.
