Congratulations to Jessica & Dan!
This was a tough wedding emotionally. Both Jessica and Dan are two of the most easy going, happy people I have come across. I loved them from first chat. It was especially sad to learn that while they were trying to plan a grand celebration of their wedding day, Jessica’s father was going through a rough battle with cancer. They kept their hopes up and prayers going…but unfortunately they came to a point where they feared he wouldn’t make it to their wedding day. It was very important to Jessica to have him be witness and walk her down the isle, so they planned a new wedding with 24 hours and “actually” got married on May 18th. Unfortunately for me, I was over 1000 miles away photographing another wedding and couldn’t be there for her, but this is the image that I opened up in an email the next day and made me smile. Not only did her father get to see his little girl get married, but he, at that point, was still well enough to walk her down the isle. He passed away 11 days later, so it was such a blessing that she had that moment with him.
So, their original wedding date, June 29th, was a sort of “Part 2″…and a very enjoyable, happy day.
BTW, aren’t Dan’s shoes AWESOME!?!!!!
On this day, in her Dad’s stead, her brother escorted her down the isle. Yes….there were definitely tears. Good tears. Lots of love.
Whoops! HAhaha
Maybe he’s warning the minister that those rings are slippery. 🙂
HURRAY!!!!!!
Oh yeah, did I forget to mention…Dan’s a fabulous Firefighter in Kansas City, KS and both him AND Jessica serve as EMT’s. I felt pretty safe at this wedding.
Jessica, you looked STUNNING!!! So SOO pretty!
Did I also forget to mention that one of my favorite colors of all time is ORANGE! This wedding was just my cup of tea. And ORANGE SUSPENDERS!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Voted BEST-SIT-DOWN-DANCER-EVER!!!!
So honored to be a part of their Special Day “Part 2”.
