My oh my….this is a wedding for the records. Fo sho!
So many good things to share…plus a special behind-the-scenes story…but I’ll get to that later. First some pretty pictures of their super-fabulous day.
Some comic relief from the water-works. HAHAHA Sarah, you crack me up!
Hey Sarah…this reminds me of when you first met Michael…you were “laughing at him, not with him”. HAHAHA Where’s an electric staircase seat when you need one.
True dat!
HAHAHAHA, I soooo couldn’t help posting this one! HAHAHAHAHA
Damn, they look good. They should like get married and stuff. 🙂
YUMMY…for both the eyes and tummy.
Must take a moment to give credit where credit is due…Sarah & Bonnie, your projects came out beautifully. It definitely added the finishing touches to the entire atmosphere. GREAT WORK!!!! Also…the floral pieces done by Rosemary of Final Touch Studios.
Selfishly…this was my favorite part of the day. …and the behind-the-scenes story I mentioned. A couple weeks before the date, I was chatting with Sarah and she mentioned that she was bummed that she waited too long to book the Cadillac limo from Pech Limo (home of the finest cars in KC), and someone else snagged it during the time of day she needed it. They decided to just book a regular 10-person limo (still nice, but no Cadillac). As it grew closer to the date, I got a wild, evil-genius idea. I had met the good folks over at Pech Limo in January and have been looking forward to a chance to network with them more. I called Pech Limo and told them about our joint client and we then concockted a brilliant plan to surprise Sarah & Michael. See…they had planned a cocktail hour and during which, Sarah, Michael, Matt and I were going to go around the area for a few more images. Scott of Pech Limo scheduled the Cadillac Limo to arrive during the actual ceremony, and Dana of The Hobbs/Feasts of Fancy was involved too, and made sure to have the space directly out front to be open for the limo. When Sarah & Michael walked back down the isle (as husband & wife now), the plan was for them to be surprised with this beautiful limo to wisk them away. ….well…even evil-genius plans don’t always go EXACTLY as planned. However, in this case, I think it was better. So…at last minute, the scheduled limo driver got switched, and the new driver didn’t know the details about the surprise….the limo ended up arriving early, and right out in plain view….and Michael SAW IT!!!! This could have been awful, but the wonderful, amazing, lovely staff of Feasts of Fancy, who had heard about the surprise, stepped in and played it off as though the limo was at the wrong wedding. Luckily, it was believable since there was another wedding just down the street. She quietly told the limo driver to hide the limo in the alley next to the building and wait until the Bride & Groom had entered into their ceremony.
…so…this first image is right after Sarah & Michael walk out of their ceremony. From their reaction, I’m guessing this first picture show’s Michael thinking that limo driver’s an idiot for coming back to the wrong wedding….and Sarah’s probably slightly annoyed for seeing the car she’d really really wanted, but couldn’t get, rubbed in her face. …hehehehe….
This is about the time that someone told them that, no, the limo was in fact in the right place…and it was meant for them.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA MICHAEL!!!!! The look on your face!!!! Both of your faces…PRICELESS!!!!
Sarah…I love you.
This is the Cadillac Limo….in all her GLORY!
This car is ridiculous! Super classic cool
After all that fun…it was on to start the party…in such a dramatic atmosphere.
These folks can DANCE!!!!!!
…DANCE so hard, they FALL. 🙂
What an amazing day! Thank you so much Sarah & Michael for having me be a part of it. And thank you Pech Limo and Dana (of The Hobbs) for going the extra mile to make it such a special occasion.
