Erin & Chris have such a bright & delightful aura about them. It was so easy slipping into photo mode with them as they just fit together so well and it shines through.
In case anyone is interested, THIS was at Shelter #1 at Shawnee Mission Park. I’ve been to this park a million times, visited and shot all around there…but apparently this little jewel of an area slipped right on past me. Frustratingly, I ended up late to our session because I couldn’t find it. Things have a way of working out though…and had we started just a tad earlier, I might not have had the chance to play around in the Shelter with the evening shelter lights on. This, btw, is going to be their wedding reception site…so we definitely will have fun matching up some pictures once they are all dressed up.
Had we also started just a bit earlier, we might not have had THIS!!!! OH YESSSS!!! Love me some sunset sky.
Ok…can’t take full credit for this shot. It was a test shot that happened while Erin & Chris played around (they are so fun and playful)…and while scanning through the images taken, I just kept coming back to this one. I hereby declare this one is my favorite of the bunch (which is bold considering there are so many competing for that declaration). It is not in focus, it is not crisp…but it has movement, it has soul, and it was real. This picture reminds me that photographs can be perfect exactly as they are…if you can feel the moment.
My gosh…I sound like a hippy in this post, but it truly was a great experience hanging out with Chris & Erin and them allowing me to take my camera and play.
